HOW TO INSTALL NOKIA MULTIMEDIA FACTORY

Nokia Multimedia Factory is an add-on application, which works on top of Nokia PC Suite 6.41 or later and can be used with a compatible Nokia mobile phone. Currently Nokia Multimedia Factory only supports some phone models with the Symbian operating system. Note: Not all phones with the Symbian operating system are supported. Install Nokia PC Suite 6.41 (or later) if it is not yet installed on your PC. Then install Nokia Multimedia Factory. Nokia Multimedia Factory is automatically installed using the same language as the Nokia PC Suite already installed on your PC. Installation is performed in two parts: first, Nokia Multimedia Factory is installed onto your PC and second, software that enables support for multimedia messages is installed into your mobile phone. After the first part of the installation is completed, the installation program will be closed and Nokia Multimedia Factory will be opened. Connect your compatible mobile phone to the PC with a DKU-2 (USB) cable or Bluetooth wireless technology and create a multimedia message. When you try to send the message, Nokia Multimedia Factory first installs the MMSsync application into your phone, enabling support for multimedia messages. The user is first asked for permission to do the installation. Follow the instructions on the PC and phone UI to complete the installation. Next you need to configure the MMS sync profile in your mobile phone. For more detailed instructions, see the link to ‘Configuring MMS sync profile’ in the Nokia Multimedia Factory help topic. Note: If you connect another compatible mobile phone to the PC, Nokia Multimedia Factory detects whether or not the required MMSsync application has already been installed into the mobile phone. If not, MMSsync is automatically installed into the phone. The user is first asked for permission to do the installation. Note: Removing the MMSsync application from the mobile phone with the phone’s Application manager is not recommended. Uninstalling Nokia PC Suite 6.41 does not remove Nokia Multimedia Factory from your PC, but you can uninstall it separately. Note: Nokia Multimedia Factory requires Nokia PC Suite 6.41 or later.
